Description
This is a portrayal of young Yeshiva students standing near a window of their school in Eastern Europe. It presents a contrast between the two boys in front who are alive and those in the window who appear as ghosts behind bars. It pays homage to over one million Jewish children who died in the Holocaust, many of whom were Torah scholars.
Here you have an opportunity of purchasing a vintage Newman-Cohen work, dating from 1990. This is a signed original work done in Jerusalem, signed at lower left in English and in Hebrew, by noted Israeli artist ESTHER NEWMAN-COHEN (1948-). Shipped unframed.
