Title
After the Storm in Jerusalem
Artist
Esther Newman-Cohen
Medium
Drawing - Soft Pastel On Paper
Description
This picture, done in Soft Pastel on Paper, depicts two trees which were blown by a storm. The artist worked outdoors in an empty field in Jerusalem drawing this picture. Even though the leaves of the larger tree have fallen and one of its branches is broken, the tree still stands. It appears to have survived a struggle, as seen in its ravaged branches. It symbolizes all those who stand tall, despite life's many trials and tribulations. This is an original work signed at lower right in English and in Hebrew, by noted Israeli artist ESTHER NEWMAN-COHEN (1948-). Shipped unframed. Can be shipped worldwide (insurance).
